About Zach Granger
Private Music Instructor

My musical journey began at thirteen, when I first picked up the guitar and viola. That early spark grew into a lifelong commitment to musicianship, eventually shaping a career rooted in both performance and education. Today, I’m a versatile multi‑instrumentalist with experience spanning classical repertoire, popular, rock, and bluegrass — a range that allows me to connect with students’ interests while grounding them in strong technical fundamentals.
I am a dedicated music educator with a strong foundation in classical guitar and comprehensive training across orchestral and fretted instruments. I’ve taught students of all ages and skill levels in both classroom and private‑lesson settings, always adapting instruction to individual learning styles and fostering growth through a blend of classical technique, contemporary styles, and ensemble‑based approaches.
My teaching experience includes extensive teaching in high school and middle school orchestra programs, where I gained hands‑on experience with ensemble direction, rehearsal planning, and classroom management. In private instruction, I’ve taught more than sixty students per week across multiple music schools and programs, maintaining high retention through thoughtful lesson planning, clear communication, and a supportive learning environment.
I’m committed to helping students build confidence, creativity, and a lasting love for music. Whether guiding a beginner through their first chords or coaching an ensemble toward polished performance, I strive to create a positive, motivating, and inclusive space where every student can thrive.
